Dana Michelle Bass, 33, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on May 12, 1983, in Beckville. She attended Northside Christian Academy. She loved life and her family, especially her nephews and nieces. Dana attended Northside Christian Center while growing up and more recently attended Joel 2:28 Fellowship.

Survivors include her parents, Barbara and Dave Schnieder; special friend, Candace Crawford; siblings, Jessica Hardwick-Williams, David Schneider and wife Ann Marie, Jacob Schneider and wife Cheyenne, Crystal Knight, and Lindsey Tipton; brother-in-law, Cody McCary; aunts and uncles, Judy and Dick Foster, Renee and Beth Bass, John and Donna Reif, Susan Walsh, Amy King, Hazel Risinger, and Danny and Brenda Bass; nieces and nephews, Jordan Williams, Clay and Trent McCary, Amber, Emma, Zoey, Zane, Hayden and Troy Schneider, Darian Burroughs, and Savanna Vera; and cousins, Rhonda and Steve, Chelsea, Rylie, Tom, John, Terry, Annie, Thomas, and Chanel. Numerous other family and many friends also survive Dana.

Melissa Lynn Blakeney McCary, 35, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on July 1, 1981, in Longview. She attended Northside Christian Academy and Carthage High School. Melissa loved being a mother and she was a devoted wife. She had lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Her father, Milton Blakeney, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Cody McCary; her son, Clay McCary; step-son, Trent McCary; parents, Barbara and Dave Schnieder; siblings, Jessica Hardwick-Williams, David Schneider and wife Ann Marie, Jacob Schneider and wife Cheyenne, Marshall Blakeney, Krista Blakeney, Crystal Knight, Lindsey Tipton, and Candace Crawford; aunts and uncles, Renee and Beth Bass, John and Donna Reif, Susan Walsh, Amy King, and Kenny and Katherine Maines; nieces and nephews, Jordan Williams, Amber, Emma, Zoey, Zane, Hayden and Troy Schneider, Darian Burroughs, and Savanna Vera; and cousins, Tom, John, Terry, Annie, Thomas, Chanel, Chad and Summer. Numerous other family and many friends also survive Melissa.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Teresa Bagley and John Boland officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tyke Williams, Marquincy Burroughs, David Schneider, Jake Schneider, Justin Crawford, Jody Everett, Winfred Ware, and Ignacio Perez. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Williams and Darian Burroughs.
