Dallas Harris, Jr., 97, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Saturday evening, July 18, 2020, at his home in Beckville. He was born on Jan. 25, 1923, in Panola County, TX to the late Dallas and Musie Lee Brassell Harris. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1939. Mr. Harris served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during WWII from 1942-1947, at which time he was and was honorably discharged. He worked in the computer technology business. Mr. Harris married Beverly Barnett and she predeceased him. He was a lifelong member of Beckville United Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church of Marshall. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe W. Harris.

Survivors include his siblings, Jerry C. Harris and wife Sue of Beckville, David D. Harris and wife Diane of Beckville, and Mary Harris McDaniel and husband Kenny of Carthage. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Harris.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Conner Cemetery with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home
