Dale McWilliams, age 81, of Sibley, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 19, 2025, at his home in Sibley. Dewey Dale McWilliams was born on December 11, 1944, in Haynesville, Louisiana to the late Dewey Sebren "D.S." and Willie B. Burley McWilliams.

Dale graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1962 and continued his education at Panola College. He married the love of his life, Betty Sue English, on June 23, 1989, in Longview. Together they shared 31 years of marriage until her passing on November 8, 2020.

Dale dedicated many years of service to Gulf South Pipeline, where he worked as a compressor supervisor before retiring in 2011. He was a longtime member of the IOOF/Gaiety Lodge #84 in Carthage. While residing in Ringgold, Louisiana, Dale was an active member of the First Baptist Church. In 2011, he made his home in Sibley.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dale was preceded in death by a son, Nicky Dale McWilliams; grandchildren, Jesse McWilliams and Ashley McWilliams; sister, Joyce Robinson; and brother-in-law, Pat English.

He is survived by his son, David McWilliams and wife Kim; stepchildren, Larry Dodge and wife Cindy, Dennis Dodge, Rickey Dodge and wife Dana, and Tom Dodge and wife Susan; sister, Aundria English; special friend, C.J. Soto; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished him deeply.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Carthage City Cemetery, with Pastor David Baze officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Dewey English, Kevin English, Ron Dreadin, Randal Carter, Jackie Robinson, and Robert Smart.
