Graveside services for Mr. Curtis "Crow" Neal Crawford, age 60 of Peoria, Illinois, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Mt. Bethel Cemetery near Gary, Texas with Reverend Weldon Sistrunk officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 in Peoria.

Curtis "Crow" Neal Crawford was born on November 27, 1947 in Trona, California to Paul Crawford and Christine Bagley Crawford Kees. Mr. Crawford graduated from Port Neches Groves High School with the class of 1965. He married Connie Jo Cohen on January 28, 1971. Mr. Crawford was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed coaching Dixie League baseball. He worked in the pipeline construction industry. Mr. Crawford lived in Peoria for the past two years, moving there from Carthage. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pam Kees Minter and his step-father, G. L. Shorty McGee.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife, Connie Jo Crawford of Peoria; one son, Justin Paul Crawford and fiancé Renee of Peoria; one daughter, Candace Jo Crawford of Carthage; one brother, Troy Dean Kees of Carthage; one sister, Glenda Everett and husband Terry of Carthage; one granddaughter, Haley Bergman of Peoria; mother-in-law, Jackie Clements of Peoria; two nephews, Brandon Everett of Carthage and Daniel Minter of Whitehouse; and two nieces, Lara Kate Everett of Carthage and Ashley Minter of Whitehouse.
