Cretavius O'Mar "Tay Tay" Barnes, 31, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in Carthage, Texas due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on July 10, 1992, in Henderson, Texas, to Christopher Lynn Willie, Sr. and Marsha Rena Barnes. Cretavius attended Carthage High School. He enjoyed fishing, rapping, creating music, and dancing. He also loved dogs and had many dog companions through the years. Cretavius was preceded in death by his step-father, James "Champ" Taylor; grandmother, Dorothy Allison; grandfather, Frankie Barnes; and grandparents Lois and Eugene Willie.

He is survived by his mother, Marsha Taylor; father Chris Willie Sr., and wife Felicia; children, Aubrey Dunlap, Addison Hare, Isaiah LeBouef, and Mahlik Barnes; siblings, Crystal Barnes, Corsica Barnes, Cornishaca Willie, Christopher Willie, Jr., Christina Willie, Porsha Willie, and Jasmine Willie; aunts, Tameshia Barnes, Denise Willie, and Dorothy Willie; uncles, Jerry Allison, Jason Allison and wife Trinette, Granson Allison, Ezar Barnes and wife Crystal, Terry Willie, Timmy Willie, Danny Willie, and David Willie; and great-aunts Patricia Mitchell and Lou Doris Swindle . Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Von Eric McKee officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in DeBerry. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dartez Jones, C.J. Miller, Travis Lawrence, Lanier Starling, John Allison, Sr., Dekeldrick Allison, I, Cody Gibson, and Josh Thompson.  Honorary pallbearers are Chris Willie, Sr., Tristan Gatlin, Tre Gatlin, Chris Willie, Jr., Ezar Barnes, Jerry Allison, and Daviane Parker.
