Clayton Edward Thomas, 79, of Gary, Texas passed away July 20, 2022 at his home in Gary. Clayton was born on August 17, 1942 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the late Charles and Hazel Inez Stell Thomas. He was raised in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School. Clayton married Kathryn Pepper on November 20, 1967 and together they celebrated 54 years. Mr. Thomas served his country through the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charlene Dale, Ray Thomas, Curtis Thomas; and son, Jeff Mason.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Thomas; children, Greg Mason and wife Lynn, Barry Thomas and wife Lisa, Donna Woolf and husband Carey; grandchildren, Allen Mason and wife Brandy, Adam Mason and wife Kelli, Deanna Matthews and husband Aaron, Amanda Greer and husband Chuck, Dustin Mason and wife Cassie, Melissa Mason, Jared Woolf and wife Jessica, Jacob Woolf, Ashley Kayed, Jessika Bullock and husband Robert; 14 great grandchildren; and siblings, Phyllis Franklin and Roger Thomas. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends also survive Mr. Thomas.

The family will have a time of visitation from 3-5 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
