Claudie Pierce, 80, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 8, 2021, in Carthage. Claudie Mae Deason was born on Jan. 1, 1941, in Shelby County, TX to the late Willie Samuel "Bud" Deason and Stella Mae Gage Deason. She married David Wesley Pierce and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2003. Mrs. Pierce worked for many years at the cafeteria at Panola College. She was preceded in death by her parents; numerous siblings; and her daughter, Peggy Nell Maxwell.

She is survived by sons David Lesley Pierce and Daniel Wesley Pierce; brother, Jerry Deason and wife Linda; sister, Ruby Colle; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at Langley Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Landtroop officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Pierce's nephews.
