Claudette Kaylon Copeland, 77, of Dallas, Texas and formerly of Carthage, Texas, entered immortality November 29, 2024. She was born to Claude and Vera Chandler Copeland in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana on September 5, 1947. Claudette spent her early years in Carthage, ultimately graduating from Panola College in that city. Claudette worked for many years as a paralegal for Storey, Armstrong & Steger, and was one of the first paralegals in Dallas. She later entered the real estate field, working as a Realtor for Ebby Halliday Realtors. Claudette was known to family and friends alike as a competitive spirit, always good at games and especially good at Blackjack. Her absolute love and devotion to her family and kids were very evident. Claudette was a wonderful cook and baker. She was known for many meals she prepared for birthdays, holidays, and other gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Michael Anne White; grandchildren, Kristin Coleman, Alex White, and Landry White; great-grandchildren, Aiden Smith, Lainey Mackley, Maisie Coleman, and Ryan Coleman; brother, Lee Copeland and wife Leslie of Shreveport, LA; nephew, Bryan Copeland; and niece, Holly Fouts and husband Lane along with their children Avery, Miller, and Elizabeth.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Panola-Mt. Zion Cemetery in DeBerry, Texas.
