Clara Mae Jones-Rodgers, 86, of Garrison, TX, passed away on Friday evening, May 22, 2020, at her home in Garrison. Clara Mae Rudisill was born on May 9, 1934, in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Franklin Charles and Jessie Bell Green Rudisill. She married Carl Aron Jones on April 25, 1975, in Angelina County, TX and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1976. Clara loved quilting, sewing, and cooking. She was also preceded in death by husband, Herman Rodgers; son, Michael Armstrong; sisters, Willie Elizabeth Corman, Mary Ellen Bates, Ruby Taylor, and Dorothy Parrish; and grandson, Ayden Burran.

She is survived by sons, Bobby Westmoreland and wife Dena of Emory, James Roberts of Alaska, and Wayne Burran of Beckville; daughters, Johnnie Stephenson and husband John of Castroville and Brenda Barr and husband Paul of Garrison; brothers, Freddy Rudisill and wife Gladys of Nacogdoches, Ernest Rudisill and wife Marty of Nacogdoches, and Clifford Rudisill of Nacogdoches; sister, Frankie Joe Cox of Nacogdoches; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Gary Cemetery with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

Serving as pallbearers are Clara's grandsons.
