Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Christopher Ryan Leopold age 33 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2006 in the Chapel of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Wintermute and Reverend Bobby Peek officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Leopold passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in Nacogdoches County.
Christopher Ryan Leopold was born on November 10, 1972 in Bossier City, Louisiana to James Joseph and Cynthia Waites Jones. He graduated from Linganore High School in Frederick, Maryland in 1990. Christopher married Lori Brown on September 23, 2000 at Davis Park in Carthage, Texas. Mr. Leopold worked as a truck driver for Elim Vacuum and Transport in Henderson, Texas. He was a member of the Gary Masonic Lodge #1101 and the Sharon Temple Shrine in Tyler, Texas. Christopher has lived in Carthage for six years moving from Shelby County. He was a member of the Murvaul United Methodist Church.
Mr. Leopold is survived by his wife, Lori Leopold of Carthage, Texas; his father, Jim Leopold of North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania; his mother, Cynthia Jones of Irving, Texas; paternal grandmother, Helen Leopold of Whitehall, Pennsylvania; maternal grandmother, Gwynn G. Haynes of Waskom, Texas; sister, Vanessa Cook of Vivian, Louisiana; two nieces, Natalee Cook and Madison Cook of Vivian, Louisiana; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Kathy Brown of Carthage, Texas; grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law, Reverend J.T. McNabb and Yvonne McNabb of Blossom, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Steve Brown and wife Lori and Keith Brown and wife Melissa of Carthage, Texas and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives.
Serving as pallbearers are Shon Cooper, Paul Wagner, Kevin Baugh, Jesse Griffith, Micheal Starner, and Kase Jackson. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Steve Brown and Keith Brown.
