Chase Barnes, age 41, of Galveston, Texas, formerly of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Friday morning, February 14, 2025, in Galveston. Chase Christopher Barnes was born on October 28, 1983, in Henderson, Texas to Robert Clarence and Robbie Lynn Davis Barnes. He graduated from McLean High School in McLean, Texas with the class of 2002. Chase furthered his education at Galveston College where he earned a degree in Nursing. He worked in healthcare where he was able to care for others as an R.N. in intensive care units. Chase loved helping others almost as much as he loved the outdoors, camping, and fishing. He was an avid hunter and an excellent gardener with a green thumb for raising flowers and an eye for landscaping.
Chase is survived by his mother, Robbie Weldon and husband Vance; his father, Robert Barnes and wife Dena; twin-sister, Candice Davis and husband Tony; brother, Brad Barnes and wife Misty; step-brother, Austin Durham; and step-sister, Shelby Abernathy.
A Time of Rememberance and the Sharing of Good Stories will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 3168 F.M. 123, DeBerry, Texas 75639. Attendees are invited to come and go or stay and visit as long as you would like. Chips, dips and other treats will be served. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
