Charles V. Schelhouse, 63, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Charles Vickers Schelhouse, Jr. was born to Charles Vickers Schelhouse, Sr. and June Ilene Hollopeter Schelhouse on October 2, 1959, in Salina, Kansas. He graduated with the Lake Havasu, Arizona high school class of 1977. Charles served in the United States Air Force. He married Cindy Ann Oswalt on July 12, 1986, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was self-employed and worked in property management.  Charles especially enjoyed his grandchildren and family, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlene Golden; and step-father, Bill Bolan.

Charles is survived by his wife, Cindy Schelhouse; children, Leah Bolin, Charley Schelhouse and wife Pamela, and Christian Schelhouse; siblings, Barbara Beach, Elaine Bell, Carl Schelhouse and wife Nancy, and Debbie Cleveland and husband Kendall; and grandchildren, Jovi Murphy, Nora Murphy, Tucker Schelhouse, Wyatt Schelhouse, and Cannon Schelhouse.  Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Merriman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
