Charles Duane Mayo, 70, of Carthage, passed away on Thursday night, April 28, 2016, in Carthage. He was born on Sept. 7, 1945, in Carthage to the late Willie and Earlene Maines Mayo. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He moved back to Carthage about 10 years ago from Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son, Charles of Dallas; brother, Wally; and sisters, Patricia, Linda, and Betty.
