Charles Edward Hunt, 74, of Carthage, Texas passed away September 4, 2022 in Silsbee, Texas. Charles was born September 19, 1947 in Center, Texas to Sam Junior Hunt and Opal Lee Manshack Hunt. He attended Carthage schools and worked for many years as a welder in the oil and gas and pipeline industries. Charles was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is preceded in death by his father.

Charles is survived by his mother, Opal Hunt; sons, Norman Hunt and Jeffrey Hunt; grandchildren, Dylan Hunt and wife Ashley, Shania Hunt; great grandchild, Daxton; sister, Barbara Hunt; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha with Chance White and Bro. Dennis Landtroop officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633.
