Obituary
A funeral service for Mrs. Charlcy Virginia Adams Pellham, age 97, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Anderson and Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Youngblood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pellham passed away on Tuesday morning, Oct. 22, 2013, at her home near Beckville.
Charlcy Virginia Adams Pellham was born on Sept. 15, 1916, in Panola County, TX, to the late David Frank and Bonnie Hill Adams. She attended Beckville schools and was a graduate of Beckville High School. Mrs. Pellham was married to Jimmie Mosel Pellham on Nov. 16, 1935, by Bro. C.T. Wallace in a horse and buggy just outside of Beckville. She loved being outside flower and vegetable gardening, was a champion speller, and an avid piddler. Mrs. Pellham lived in the Beckville area all of her life and was a member of the Youngblood Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 17, 1983; one brother, Hill Adams; and two sisters, Mozelle Brodnax and Ouida Kuykendall.
Mrs. Pellham is survived by one son, James David Pellham and wife Sandra of Dallas; one daughter, Betty Watts and husband Jim of Carthage; six grandchildren, Jim Roark, David Glenn Pellham, Jeni Shipman and husband Mike, Holly Davis and husband Stubbs, Donna Coleson and husband Michael, and Reanna Hart and husband Richard; eleven great-grandchildren, Jonathon Shipman, Megan Shipman, Colby Coleson, Jacquelyn Pellham, Adrien Hart, Nicholas Pellham, Heather Roark, Luke Davis, Landry Davis, Austin Hart, and Mattie Hart.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard Hart, Michael Coleson, Eric Pellham, Tim Snow, David Cole, and Junior Minter.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jimmy John Dunn, Jimmy Dale Dunn, Tom Brinkley, and Wilcie "Boy" Pellham.
