Cathy Busby, 65, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 2, 2021, in Carthage. Catherine Louise Quebodeaux was born on Aug. 11, 1955, in Crowley, LA to the late Claude and Grace Gertrude McClelland Quebodeaux. She graduated from Iota, LA High School with the class of 1973. Cathy moved to Carthage in 1979, from Lafayette, LA. She later earned her real estate license and worked as a real estate agent for over 25 years in the Carthage area. She was raised in the Catholic Church and later joined Stillwater's Cowboy Church in Carthage. Cathy enjoyed gardening, loved her family dearly and especially loved spending time with her grandson, Austin. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Sylvester Joseph Quebodeaux and nephews, Chad Broussard and Tim Quebodeaux.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Younger and husband Ryan of Carthage; loving companion, Dr. Dennis Golden of Carthage; siblings, Doris Broussard of Crowley, LA, Dennis Quebodeaux and wife Theresa of Egan, LA, Brenda Istre of Crowley, David Quebodeaux and wife Arlene of Evangeline, LA, and Dale Quebodeaux and wife Jennifer of Pineville, LA; and grandson, Austin James Younger.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Comer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Younger, Mike Cockerham, David Richardson, Travis Younger, Steve Shuttlesworth, Dennis Quebodeaux, David Quebodeaux, and Dale Quebodeaux.

Memorial donations may be made to Austin Younger Education Fund at First State Bank, 110 W. Panola, Carthage, Texas.
