Funeral services for Mrs. Cassandra Burroughs Williams, age 37, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat. Feb. 27, 2010, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Carthage with Rev. Bobby Williams and Rev. Jeffrey Williams officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams passed away on Monday evening, Feb. 22, 2010, in Longview.

Cassandra Lynesse Burroughs Williams was born on Jan. 28, 1973, in Carthage to Woodrow Fulghum and Mary Lee Burroughs. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1991. Mrs. Williams married Patrick O'Neal Williams, Sr. on June 21, 1997. She worked as a medical technician for GSMC in Marshall. Mrs. Williams lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lovetta Fulghum.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband Patrick O'Neal Williams, Sr.; one son, Patrick O'Neal "PJ" Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Ny'Kedra Williams all of Carthage; one brother, John Burroughs and wife Lula of Carthage; five sisters, Tena Fulghum of Houston, Loretta Fulghum of Houston, Linda Burroughs of Carthage, Doris Hughes of Marshall, and Shequanta Fulghum of DeBerry; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lenorden and Opal Williams of Carthage.

Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Williams, Samuel Black, Bobby Williams, Jr., Caldrin Williams, Willie Rayson, James Williams and Carlton Williams.
