"Cap" Stauffacher
September 1, 1933 – July 6, 2019
Casper King "Cap" Stauffacher, 85, of Lake Murvaul, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, July 6, 2019, in Tyler, TX. He was born on Sept. 1, 1933, in Humansville, MO to the late Walter Casper and Eulallia Vee King Stauffacher. Cap graduated from Humansville High School with the class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Sept. 19, 1951-May 16, 1962, with the 352 nd Bombardment Squadron out of Barksdale A.F.B. attaining the rank of TSGT before being honorably discharged. He married Gaytha Jane White Jones on Nov. 17, 1973, in Atoka, OK. After discharge from the Air Force, Mr. Stauffacher worked at EMC Plastics for 12 years and later owned and operated a retail plant nursery business with his wife. He retired to Lake Murvaul in 1999. Cap was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul C. Stauffacher and Ralph A. Stauffacher; and sister, Ruth Stauffacher.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Stauffacher of Lake Murvaul; son, Dr. Richard A. Stauffacher and wife Gwen of Alamogordo, NM; daughters, Sandra F. Foreman and husband David of Mesquite, TX and Teresa K. Stauffacher of Arlington, TX; son, Michael K. Jones and wife Terry of Gainesville, TX, Danny M. Jones and wife Cherie of Gilmer, TX, and Ricky S. Jones and wife Melody of Sanger, TX; sisters, Margie Stoll of Overpark, KS and Ruby Sneed of Sparta, MO; 6 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
