Carolyn Morehead, age 80, of Beckville, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, May 11, 2025, at her home near Beckville. She was born on March 16, 1945, in Stephenville, Texas to the late AC and Clarazell Smith Bearden. Carolyn graduated from Green B. Trimble High School in Fort Worth, Texas with the class of 1962. She worked at the First National Bank in downtown Fort Worth until she became a homemaker. Carolyn married Jim Morehead on August 17, 1963, at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She and Jim moved to the Harris Chapel Community in 1975. They developed many wonderful friendships over the past 50 years in the Harris Chapel and Beckville communities. Carolyn has been an active member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Garry Bearden; niece, Julie Mott; and her best friend, Gail Will.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Jim Morehead; children, Garry Morehead and wife Ann and Lesley Milam and husband Brandon; grandchildren, Garrett Morehead and wife Arynda, Dustin Alexander and wife Christy, Jennifer Allen and husband Kelly, Reese, Ashtyn, LeeAnna and Camryn Milam; great-grandchildren, Jace and Amelia Morehead, Jack-Abner, Abram and Audie Alexander, Kaitlin Drake and husband Rowdy, Colten Allen and wife Shelbi Jo, Shelby Anderson and husband Sam, and Evan Allen; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sharlotte Mott and husband Tim; nephew, Jonathon Mott and Tiffany; sister, Nickie Green; nephew, Justin Green and wife Loni; nieces, Lauren Green and Jennifer Young; 4 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces; sister-in-law, Elaine Forsyth; brother-in-law, Vaughn Morehead and wife Roxie; and sister-in-law, Dorothy McNabb and husband Ricky.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Clint Jones officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Garrett Morehead, Reese Milam, Dustin Alexander, Kelly Allen, Colten Allen, Evan Allen, Justin Green, Jon Mott, Terry Will, and Sammy English.
