Carole Peloquin, 80, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 2021, at her home. Carole Jean Payne was born on Oct. 9, 1940, in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph Howard and Irja K. Heikkila Payne. She married Robert George Peloquin, Jr. on Nov. 10, 1962, in Chicago. Mrs. Peloquin enjoyed spending time with her family and playing canasta with her friends. She moved to Carthage in 1969, from Blue Island, IL and was a member of St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church where she was involved in the Ladies Altar Society. Mrs. Peloquin was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Keith Payne; sisters, Pat Anderson and Sally Albert; and grandson, Brandon Herndon.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Peloquin of Carthage; children, Brad Peloquin and wife Teresa of Tyler, Sandy Hunter of Carthage, Mark Peloquin and wife Cindi of Carthage, Eric Peloquin of Carthage, and Kip Johnson and husband Keith of Carthage; brother, Jack Payne and wife Nellie of Carthage; grandchildren, Joshua Kruebbe, Zachary Kruebbe, Matthew Peloquin, Miles Peloquin, Megan Peloquin, Brittany Lee, Jade Guynes, Lexie Nutt, Jacob McNeely, Brooklyn McNeely, and Micah Johnson; and 18 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church with Father Steve Paradis officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. on Tuesday following the visitation at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Joshua Kruebbe, Zachary Kruebbe, Miles Peloquin, Gary Nutt, Micah Johnson and Jacob McNeely.
