Carol Maxey, 74, of Gary, Texas, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 30, 2021, in Tyler, Texas. Carol Beth Snook was born on November 21, 1946, in Livingston, Texas to the late Eugene Bert and Nannie Faye Williams Snook. She graduated from Livingston High School. Carol married Michael Jewel Maxey and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2008. Mrs. Maxey worked for many years in the cafeteria at Carthage I.S.D. before her retirement. She enjoyed listening to music and thrift shopping and loved animals. Mrs. Maxey moved to Gary in 1981, from Livingston and was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robin Maxey of Carthage, Eric Maxey and wife Jami of Wylie, and Chad Maxey of Shreveport.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
