Carol Ann Forsyth, 81, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Oct. 11, 2016, at Pilgrim Manor Guest Care Center in Bossier City, LA. Carol Ann was born June 12, 1935, in Carthage. She was the daughter of the late Reed P. and Carrie Mae Roe Forsyth. She had been a lifelong resident of Carthage until 2014, when she moved to Bossier City for rehabilitation due to a fall. Carol Ann attended Carthage schools and after high school helped her mother at home. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carthage where she enjoyed rocking the babies in the nursery. She loved her church and knew all her favorite hymns by heart. Her hobbies were needlepoint and crocheting afghans. She was loving and kind and loved animals, especially her special bear named Butters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Nell Forsyth Carpenter and husband Ed of Bossier City; niece Holly Carpenter Mann and husband Mike and their daughter Macy of Arp; niece, Leslie Carpenter Hayes and husband Eric and their sons Nicholas, Christopher and Mitchell of Bossier City; niece, Susan Carpenter Kilpatrick and husband Kyle and their children Reed, Cade, Levi and Marlee Nell of Lorena, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage with Rev. Keefe Cropper officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The body will be in state from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
