Carol Dartez, 74, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 7, 2023, in Carthage. Carol Ann Baker was born on July 26, 1949, in Corsicana, TX to the late George Calvin and Helen Belle Boyles Baker. She graduated from Ryder High School in Wichita Falls, TX with the class of 1967, and attended Midwestern State University. Carol moved to Carthage in 1977, from Houston. After coming to Carthage, she earned her real estate license and enjoyed a 40-year career in the real estate business. Carol was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage.

She is survived by her children, Don Denny and wife Wendy, Kyle Dartez, Kelly Dartez, and Kerri Beth Dartez and grandchildren, Dylan Denny and Jace Dartez.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
