A military graveside service for Captian Paul Maxwell Jeter (Retired), age 75, of Ft. Worth, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012, with Bro. Mervin Scott officiating at Carter Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Jeter passed away on Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012, in Dallas.
Paul Maxwell Jeter was born on Nov. 7, 1936, in Shreveport, LA to Paul Washington and Mildred Juliet Payne Jeter. He attended Byrd High School with the class of 56' and later earned his B.A. Degree from the University of Nebraska in 1967. Mr. Jeter served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and Air Force for over 16 years, attaining the rank of Captain before his retirement. He enjoyed motor racing, was a glider pilot, loved going to the beach and animals. He had lived in Fort Worth for the last 20 years.
Mr. Jeter is survived by one son, John Jeter of the Netherlands; three daughters, Camille Rosatto of Miami, FL, Diana Bachmann of Chicago, and Monique Jeter of the Netherlands; three step-children, Teresa Marie Contreras of the Netherlands and Frank and Rick Contreras both of Florida; one sister, Penny Zent and husband Rodney of College Station; and three grandchildren.
