Funeral services for Mr. Bud Cole, age 57 of Lake Cherokee, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Tatum Church of the Living Water with Brother Elbert Jones and Brother Gary Chambers officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Tatum Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Cole passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2006.

Ora Jay Cole was born on February 20, 1949 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Mitchell and Lou Mae Frame Cole. Mr. Cole graduated from Fairview Alfa High School in Louisiana. He married Janet Elizabeth Brown on March 2, 1984 in Haughton, Louisiana. Mr. Cole worked as a tool pusher in the oil field industry for over 27 years. Mr. Cole had lived on Lake Cherokee since 1999 moving from Tatum. He loved his family, friends, and his church. Mr. Cole was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Tatum Church of the Living Water.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Jan Cole of Lake Cherokee; one son, Joseph Cole and wife Amy of Fairview Alfa; three daughters, Dawn Graham of Tatum, Erin Graham of Hallsville, and Toni Lyn Cole of Louisiana; one brother Jerry Cole and wife Bonnie of Toledo Bend; two sisters, Frances Myers of Haughton and Sue McCrory and husband James of Fairview Alfa; five grandchildren, Casey, Skylar, Jay, Jordan, and Beth; special nieces, Sissy, Johnna, Missy, Savannah, Shelby, Rayna, Sheryl, and Brenda; special nephews, Riley, Robert, and Mitchell.

Serving as pallbearers are Richard Cole, Brian Jordan, Ronald Turlington, Jack Breivelle, Riley Hollingsworth, Robert Hollingsworth, Dale Turlington, and Rodney Turlington.
