A funeral service for Mr. Bruce Hariel Allums, 80, of the Riderville Community, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Cammack, George Cammack, and Rev. Greg Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in LangleyCemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Allums passed away on March 25, 2014, in Riderville.

Bruce Hariel Allums was born on Apr. 12, 1933, in Beckville, TX to the late James Theo and Connie Fite Allums. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1952. Mr. Allums served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Joyce Ann Cammack on Sept. 3, 1960, in Carthage. He worked as a field operator with Union Pacific Resources, retiring in 1991. Mr. Allums' hobby was work and he enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, farming, and ranching. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Mr. Allums was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Thomas, and Herbert Allums; and one sister, Faye King.

Mr. Allums is survived by his wife Joyce Allums of Riderville; one son, Bruce Eric Allums and wife Tricia of Nacogdoches; one daughter, Janna Irene Richardson and husband Delta of Carthage; one sister, Annie Dominique of Bossier City; and five grandchildren, Jessica, Bruce Garrett, Parker, Ashton, and Savannah Allums. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Allums.

Serving as pallbearers are Frank Allums, Wade Allums, Parker Allums, Jason Dominique, Bruce Dominique, Chris Cammack, Bruce Garrett Allums, and Delta Richardson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Howard Rhiddlehoover and James R. Woods.
