Funeral services for Brandon D. Schmidt, 42, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Stowell. Interment will follow at Panola-Mt Zion Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brandon was born on July 10, 1970 in Shreveport, LA and passed away May 12, 2013. He was a resident of DeBerry, TX and manager of Foxborough Cove Apartments. He was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Schmidt Slagle. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and Margaret Schmidt; his partner, Paul Stanley; sister, Regina Bond and husband Brian; nieces and nephews, Kristy Parker and husband Matt, Kim Almanza and husband Felipe, Stacey Stegall and husband Chris, Andy Bond and wife Michelle; great-nieces and great-nephews, Gage, Brody and Ella Parker, Diego and Gabriella Almanza, Drew and Avery Bond. Pallbearers will be Brian Bond, Andy Bond, Greg Atwood, Chance Schmidt, Matthew Parker, Clay Slagle, Kevin Schmidt and Steven Farmer.
