Graveside services for Mr. Brady Graham Rice, age 65 years of Beckville, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Langley Cemetery in Beckville, Texas with Brother Hollis Bass officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Rice died on Monday morning, September 18, 2006 in Carthage.

Brady Graham Rice was born on June 25, 1941 in Bessmay, Texas to Chester Arthur and Mildred Marie Barfield Rice. He had lived in Beckville one year moving here from Beaumont, Texas. Brady was a member of the Sunrise Community Baptist Church in Beaumont. He was a 1959 graduate of Forest Park High School in Beaumont, Texas. He attended Syracuse University three years in Syracuse, New York. Mr. Rice served in the U. S. Air Force from 1959 to 1966 during the Vietnam Era. He was a pipe fitter working in the refineries in Beaumont for 15 years. Mr. Rice married Tawhanna Plunkett on August 18, 1985 in Beaumont, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Pecou.

Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Tawhanna Rice of Beckville; four sons, Scott Rice of Port Lavaca, Todd Rice and wife Gina of Friendswood, Texas, Graham Rice and wife Shady of New Prague, Minnesota, and Branton Rice of Beckville; two daughters; Ella Marie Chesser and husband Ronnie of Beaumont, Marthanna Huffins and husband Tony of New Prague, Minnesota; brother, Bill Rice and wife Margurite of Beaumont; sister; Brenda Collins and husband Don of Beaumont; five grandchildren, Tamara, Graham, Sauzi, Marley, and Jackie O.; Many other relatives and many loving friends also survive.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Pierce, Jeff Searcy, Will Searcy, Brad Williams, Brady Williams, and Jonathan Plunkett.
