Bonnie Fay Rhame Cleveland, 83, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday morning, Aug. 21, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on March 14, 1933, in Center to the late Otis Troy and Willie McMahon Rhame. Mrs. Cleveland worked as USDA inspector at Tyson Foods for many years until her retirement. Her hobbies included repotting and planting flowers, gardening, and she was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Cleveland was a longtime and devoted member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Homer Troy Rhame; and son, Rickey Lynn West.
Survivors are her children, Jimmy West and wife Vicki of Longview and Judy West and husband Kenneth Dierks of Galveston; daughter-in-law, Flo West of Carthage; siblings, Aline Jones of Kirbyville, Doyle Rhame of Hemphill, Cecil Rhame and wife Willie Ann of Dayton, Maxine Nicholson and husband Jim of Beaumont, Gene Rhame and wife Melody of Dayton, Timmy Rhame and wife Catrina of Brookeland, and T.J. Tullos and wife Kathy of Kirbyville; grandchildren, Jennifer Rickert, Michele Smith, Steven West, Luke Satterwhite, Rikki Meredith, and April West; and great-grandchildren, Valerie, Neaman, Bryce, Abbie, Trevor, Logan, Maddie, Emily, and Lydia.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Holder officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Steven West, Luke Satterwhite, Timmy Rhame, Mark Meredith, Bryce Rickert, and Mark McLaughlin.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Panola Nursing Home and Heart's Way Hospice for the loving care shown to Mrs. Cleveland.
