Bobby W. Langford, 66, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2023, in Longview, Texas. Bobby Wade Langford was born on May 17, 1957, in Carthage to the late John W. and Melba Ruth Dailey Langford. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1975, where he lettered in football and he attended Panola College. Bobby began his career in the oil field before going to work at Texas Utilities where he worked as a mechanic for over 40 years before his retirement. He married Teresa Gayle Whyte on December 19, 1987, in Hallsville, Texas. Bobby loved gardening, his farm animals, cooking, especially on his smoker. He loved to work, whether it was at his house or at his job. Bobby loved the holidays and spending time with his family. He was always there to help family, friends, or strangers when they were in need. Bobby lived his lifetime in Panola County and attended New Prospect Church. He was also preceded in death by a special aunt, Evelyn Dailey; uncles, Billy Dailey, Billy Langford, Thomas Langford, and Bruce Langford; and a niece, Amy Langford Nash.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Langford; children, Leslie Langford and spouse Caliece Cureton and Joshua Langford; siblings, Buddy Langford and wife Carolyn and Barbara Buchanan; aunts, Dorothy Bramblett and husband Louis and Mary Lou Dailey; granddaughter, Caroline Cureton; nephews, Matt Buchanan, Adam Buchanan and wife Heather, and John C. Langford and wife Marcie; nieces, Katie Gary and husband Craig, Carrie Moore and husband Nathan, and Jami Werth and husband Trevor; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott and Bro. Carl Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are John C. Langford, Matt Buchanan, Charlie Dailey, Colt Buchanan, Adam Buchanan, Ricky Whyte, Nathan Moore, Trevor Werth, Mark Langford, and Austin Buchanan.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Cox, L.W. Bardwell, Willie Stogner, John Kirkland, Steve Langford, and Buddy Langford.
