Bob Patterson, 88, of Garrison, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, Feb. 13, 2020, in Carthage, TX. Bob Long Patterson, Sr. was born on Nov. 10, 1931, in Garrison to the late Bertram Ashby "Pat" and Jodie Chandler Patterson. He attended school in Orange and Garrison. Mr. Patterson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946-1949 and was honorably discharged. He had a long career in the oil and gas industry, owning Pat's Roustabout Service, Inc. Mr. Patterson was a 32nd degree Mason with Garrison Masonic Lodge #670 where he received a 60-year pin and was a Shriner through Sharon Temple of Tyler, where he received a 50-year pin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Mr. Patterson was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman Smith Patterson and James Bertram "Jim" Patterson; sisters, Martha Ida Mosele, Billy Jo Shuey, Allene Kelly Bacon, and Bonita Ann Lowrie; and son-in-law, Jacky White.

Survivors include his children, Robert Thomas Patterson, Sr. and wife Judy of Charlotte, NC, Bob Long "Bobby" Patterson, Jr. and wife Pam of Carthage, Jodie Marie Register and husband Jeff of Carthage, and Lisa Lynn Langford and husband Terry of Breckenridge, TX; sister-in-law, Nora Patterson of Timpson; grandchildren, Felicia Patterson Meyer, Amy Patterson, Robert "Robby" Patterson, Jr., Jason Patterson, Jennifer Griffin, Jessica Lackey, Kris Register, Kyle Register, Klay Register, Jaclyn White Morehart, Jay White, Kimberly Bryant, Kristi Hadl, and Matthew Langford; and great-grandchildren, Blake Patterson, Walker Meyer, Trace Meyer, Anthony Turow, Kayden Turow, Faith Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Anabella Patterson, Audrey Patterson, Sebastian Patterson, Olive Patterson, Olivia Griffin, Jonah Griffin, Laci Griffin, Abbi Griffin, Bailey Cryer, Brody Lackey, Brennen Lackey, Karter Register, Kennedy Register, Braxton Register, Aniston Register, Finn Register, Jackson Morehart, Miles Morehart, Berkley White, Corley White, Kailee Powell, Jaeden Powell, Madison Hadl, Brianna Robertson, Kaitlyn Starr, and Blanton Langford.

A funeral service with Masonic Rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Otto officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Garrison. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Robby Patterson, Jason Patterson, Kris Register, Kyle Register, Klay Register, and Jay White.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Register, Terry Langford, Dudley Mosele, Mike Lowrie, Norman Lowrie, Micah Morehart, and Phil Lackey.
