Obituary
A graveside service for Mr. Billy M. Hurt, age 77, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Comfort Cemetery in Comfort, TX. Mr. Hurt passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Briarcliff Nursing Home in Carthage, TX.
Billy M. Hurt was born on April 13, 1937, in Cairo, IL, to the late Marvin and Ruby Porter Hurt. He served in the United States Air Force and Army retiring after 22 years of service. Mr. Hurt was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Paula Cissell, and one son Sammy Hurt.
Mr. Hurt is survived by his wife, Laura Jane Hurt of Carthage; three sons, Timothy Hurt, Billy Hurt Jr. and wife Kathy, and Kevin Hurt; two daughters, Debbie Bickerstaff and husband Ray, Dana Schimcek and husband Ray; one brother, Gary Hurt and wife Alisha; one sister, Linda Noles and husband Jim; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
