Billy Frank "Shine" Gray, 58, of Carthage, formerly of Tenaha, passed away on Tuesday evening, Nov. 15, 2016, in Carthage. He was born on Aug. 8, 1958, in West Monroe, LA to the late Waymon Franklin and Annie Christine Glass Gray. He served in the Louisiana National Guard. Mr. Gray worked as a heavy equipment operator and welder in the oil field industry for many years. He enjoyed working and building with wood, welding, gardening, hunting, fishing, music, and was very creative. He moved to the area 11 years ago from Louisiana.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Sanders and husband Chance of Homer, LA; siblings, Royce Norman and wife Sharon of Ruston, Joyce Pesnell and husband Clyde of Ruston, Alvin Norman of Ruston, Donald Norman and wife Debra of Ruston, Judy Leo and husband Bill of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Guice and husband Gary of Bastrop, LA, Charles Gray and wife Sandra of Lufkin, Mary Catherine Andrews and husband Tom of Chidester, Ark., and Deborah Grant and husband Peyton of Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Madelyn, Jaxson, and Drew.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
