Billy Joe Creamer was born on September 24, 1937 in Bonham, Texas to Albert Luther and Mary Frances Starkey Creamer. Mr. Creamer married Sue Setzer on May 4, 1981 in Oberlin, Louisiana. He worked as a salvage dealer. He loved NASCAR, fishing, and being at the camp with family and friends. He had a heart the size of Texas, was a people person, and loved children and the elderly. Mr. Creamer grew up in the Dallas area and in 1992, he moved to Gary. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Creamer was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; and his dog, Tuffy.
Mr. Creamer is survived by his wife, Sue Setzer Creamer of Gary; two sons, Billy Joe Creamer, Jr. and wife Cathy of Ft. Worth and Mark Creamer and wife Laura of Carthage; three, daughters, Kimberly Creamer Newsom and husband Tony of Dallas, Sheryl Cranford of Gary, and Benita Lundquist of Gary; eighteen grandchildren, Billy Joe Creamer III, Jodi Johnson, Cathy Wiggins, Summer Passmore, Winter Nava, Brandi Creamer, Dusti Langston, Tony Newsom, Jr., Jeremy Newsom, Josh Jaccard, Eric, Sean, and Nick Lundquist, Jami, Justin, and Jordan Cranford, and Becka and Starla Griffith; fifteen great-grandchildren; his special family, Lalo and Lidia and their children; and his dog, Sam.
Serving as pallbearers are Mr. Creamer's grandsons, Billy Joe Creamer III, Tony Newsom, Jr., Jeremy Newsom, Josh Jaccard, Erik Lundquist, Nick Lundquist, Jami Cranford, Justin Cranford, and Jordan Cranford. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jack, Grant, and Michael Stephenson, Tony Bentley, David Cline, John Cook, Leon David, Jeff Martin, Jimmy Johnson, Jesse Hutchins, Joe Salazar, Tommy Pitts, and Weldon, Steven, and A.F. Hope.
