Obituary

A native has gone home. Mr. Izac Silas "Bill" Boles, age 88 of Carthage, Texas formerly of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in Carthage, Texas

Izac Silas "Bill" Boles was born on February 12, 1919 in Monroe, Louisiana to Nathaniel Green Boles III and Eva Faye Moore Boles. He married Floradale Geraldine Depuy and she preceded him in death in 1984. Mr. Boles worked as the Head Sawer for Weyerhaeuser Timber Company in Klamath Falls, Oregon from 1941-1984. He was of the Cherokee Nation Tribe # 101. Mr. Boles served in the United States Army where he was assigned to the Civilian Conservation Corps in New Mexico and Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Mr. Boles had lived in Carthage since 1985 and was of the Catholic Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Ruben Dick Boles, Floyd George Boles, and Jimmy Green Boles; and four sisters, Mamie Hattaway, Sue Baby Coplin, Katie Kathleen Cowrse, and Istel Alford Bowman.

Mr. Boles is survived by his special caregiver, Louise Adams of Beckville, Texas; one son, Robert Lee Boles and wife Cordila of Chiloquin, Oregon; two daughters, Margaret Copeland and husband Jimmy of Carthage, Texas and Carolyn Rose Depuy Vierra of Gridley, California; two brothers, Nathaniel Maurise "Buddy" Boles and wife Joyce of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Curtis Shaw and wife Juanita of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Joyce Boles of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, John Depuy; four grandchildren, Mary K. Copeland, Jimmy Metcalf Copeland, Jr., Heaven Elizabeth Collins, and Jason Collins; and five great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Kody, Jerrie, Jase, and LaLa.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at in Klamath Memorial Chapel in Klamath Memorial Park Cemetery in Klamath Falls, Oregon with Father Bob Adams officiating.
