A memorial service for Mr. Bill McDonald, 83, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Central Baptist Church Activity Center Parlor with Dennis Smith officiating. Mr. McDonald passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 11, 2015, at his home in Carthage. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Bill Weldon McDonald was born on March 13, 1932, in Winters, Texas, to the late Alva and Flavia McDonald. Mr. McDonald served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the coffee club that met at Frank Sepaugh's business every morning but Sunday. He also loved fishing. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Odena.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Jean McDonald of Carthage; two sons, Sean McDonald and wife Cathy and Scott McDonald and wife Trudy; one brother, Alton McDonald; one step-sister Sharron Wheeler; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Kira, Luke, Nigel, Alexa, and Madison; and one great-grandchild, Jaya; also surviving Mr. McDonald is special friends Walter Weston and Frank Sepaugh.
