Betty Watts, 84, of Beckville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 15, 2024, in Carthage, Texas. Betty Virginia Pellham was born on May 1, 1940, in Panola County, Texas to the late Jimmie Mosel and Charlcy Adams Pellham. Betty graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1958, and attended Panola College. She loved being outside and working in her yard. She also enjoyed decorating. Betty was always busy doing things for others and especially loved taking care of her family. She lived her lifetime in Panola County and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Carthage. Betty was also preceded in death by her brother, James David Pellham and an infant sister, Judy Ann Pellham.

She is survived by her son, Jim Roark; daughters, Donna Hooper and husband Darrik and Reanna Hart; grandchildren, Colby Coleson, Heather Roark, and Mattie Hart; sister-in-law, Sandra Pellham; nephew, David Glenn Pellham; nieces, Jeni Shipman and Holly Davis; and numerous cousins and many friends.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at Youngblood Cemetery near Beckville with Bro. Carl Anderson and Rev. Steve Jackson officiating.
