Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Sue Walling, 66 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2007 at Antioch Cemetery with Brother David Baze officiating. Interment will follow the service under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Mrs. Walling passed away on Friday night, January 26, 2007 in Longview, Texas.

Betty Sue Pitts Walling was born on August 7, 1940 in Carthage, Texas to William Addie and Bonnie McDaniel Pitts. Mrs. Walling graduated from Carthage High School in 1958. In her younger years, Mrs. Walling worked at Hawthorn Dry
Goods and later went into modeling and fashion design. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. Mrs. Walling lived in Carthage until she was eighteen. She returned in 1989 from Friendswood, Texas and became a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her father, William Addie Pitts who passed away on August 9, 1961 and one brother, William Henry Pitts who passed away on August 6, 1970; and her step-father Alva Waymon Bagley who passed away February 23, 1993.

Mrs. Walling is survived by her mother, Bonnie Bagley of Carthage; her husband, John Walling of Carthage; one son, Jonathan Walling of Spokane, Washington; one brother, Thomas Pitts and wife Ellen of Port Neches; one sister, Itasca LeJune of Carthage; numerous nieces, nephews, beloved family members, and many friends also survive Mrs. Walling.
