Betty Sue Davidson Allums, 85 of Beckville, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2018, in Carthage. She was born as a twin on April 2, 1933, in Rock Hill Community near Beckville to the late Curtis and Pauline Hudson Davidson. Mrs. Allums graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1950. She started working at the Beckville Housing Authority in December of 1982, and soon became the Executive Director until April of 1998, and at that time she semi-retired and continued to work there as the Assistant until October of 2014. She loved her job working with all of the people in the community. She worked there for a total of 32 years. Betty was a longtime member of New Prospect Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Waldon.

Survivors include her children, Frank Allums and wife Pat, Curtis Allums and fiancé Brenda Remchuk, Ede Jenkins and husband Larry, Wade Allums and wife Debbie, Elaine Crippen and husband Jeff, and Connie Choate and husband Glenn; twin-sister, Wanda Brevard; sister, Helen Landers; brother-in-law, Jerry Waldon; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild; and lifelong friend, Mary Lou Dailey.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Curt Allums, Tommy Jenkins, Derrick Jenkins, Josh Allums, Jeremy Stewart, Cody Allums, Colton Pierce, Wesley Lofton, and Stacy Allums.

Honorary pallbearers are Gay Harris, Kenny Brevard, and Paul Brevard.
