A graveside service for Bettie L. Collins, age 53, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 10, 2014, at Walton Cemetery in the Del Ray Community with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. Ms. Collins passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Apr. 8, 2014, in Tyler.

Bettie L. Collins was born on Nov. 14, 1960, in Cleveland, TX to John Wesley and Bettie Jo Pierce Collins. She attended school in Cleveland. Ms. Collins lived most of her life in Carthage and was preceded in death by her father.

Ms. Collins is survived by her mother, Bettie Jo Pierce Collins of Carthage; three sisters, Mary Rash and husband Nathan of Splendora, Sandra Castle and husband Jody of Longview, and JoAnn Lockwood of Carthage; two brothers, Johnny Collins and wife Cindy of Splendora and Albert Collins and wife Kathy of Gary; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
