Funeral services for Mrs. Bette Karen Van Cleave age 62, years of Cleveland, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Baze officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Meador Cemetery near Jacksonville, Texas with Pastor Danny Hammer officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Van Cleave passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in Carthage, Texas.
Bette Karen Reed Van Cleave was born on November 27, 1943 in Goose Creek, TX to P. T. Reed, Jr. and Helen Post Reed. Karen attended Kermit High School in Kermit, TX and went on to study and become an LVN. She married Thomas Dewayne Van Cleave in Jacksonville, Texas. Karen worked very hard and cared for many elderly people in Nursing Homes. She loved the Lord, her family, and spoiling her grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband who died on March 31, 1990.
Karen is survived by two sons, James Arnold Nunn and wife Michelle of Cleveland, and Jeffrey Lynn Iseral and wife Kimberly of Amarillo; one brother, Robert Randall Reed and wife Kathy of Odessa; four sisters, Bonnie Jeanne Iseral and husband Bob of Lubbock, Beverly Ann Williams of Odessa, Brenda Hagle and husband Allard of DeBerry, and Cynthia Gayle Goins and husband Gary of Brownwood; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive Karen.
