Bernice Talley, 103, of Beckville, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Carthage. Bernice Stealwell Talley was born January 1, 1919, in Itasca, Texas to the late Will and Ada Hall Stealwell. Bernice married Green Talley, Sr. who preceded her in death. Mrs. Talley was a homemaker, lived most of her life in Harrison and Panola counties, and was a former member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Beckville. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Flora Jackson and Mary Stealwell and ten children.

Mrs. Talley is survived by children, Robert Talley, Sr., Pearline Muckelroy, Irene Pegues and husband Oliver, Cathoran Brown, Neketa Talley, and James Talley; grandchildren, Robert Talley, Fred Talley, Kim Talley, Gaynell Davis, Andrew Talley, Gary Talley, LaShunon Allison, Emily Brown, Kendrix Brown, JoAnn Allison, Patricia Jackson, Freddie Williams, LaWon Muckleroy, Natasha Muckleroy, Lyndell Talley, Jeff Talley, Vicki Williams, Tierra Talley, Tenishia Talley Roderick Bowman, Derrell Talley, and Marthanne Talley; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great- great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Raymond Ingram. Interment will follow in the Shiloh-Tabernacle Cemetery in Beckville. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Ja'Kelvin Smith, Rodrick Bowman, Cornelius Anderson, Anthony Smith, Demareya Whitney, and Timothy Wallace.  Honorary pallbearers are Gary Brown, Kendrix Brown, Fred Talley, Andrew Talley LaWon Muckleroy, and Robert Talley.
