Funeral services for Mr. Arden Green, age 90, of Clayton, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Stone officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Union Hill Cemetery near Linden, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Green passed away on Monday afternoon, June 7, 2010, in Clayton.

Arden Green was born on June 23, 1919, in Cass County, Texas to James Edgar and Clyde Meadows Green. Mr. Green moved to Clayton in the 60's from the Union Hill Community of Cass County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Artie Lee Wells; five brothers, Brazil, Bo, Jimmy, Otis, and Carol Green; and one infant sibling.

Mr. Green is survived by one brother, Charles Green and wife Helen of Ferris, Texas; five sisters, Dean Bucholts and Roger Choice of the Antioch Community, Judith Robinson of Clayton, Texas, Edebra Strawn and husband Wallace of Fulton, Mississippi, Beverly Key and husband Jimmy of Austin, Texas, and Betty McCord and husband Kenneth of Marietta, Texas; and three sisters-in-law, Arlene Green of Dallas, Texas, Ruth Green of Linden, Texas, and Vivian Green of Ferris, Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive Mr. Green.

Serving as pallbearers are Manvel Green, J.H. Green, Kirby McCord, Edward Parks, and Chad Parks.
