A memorial service for Mr. Anthony S. (Tony) Coma, III, age 55 of DeBerry, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Garden of the American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson Paige Road, Shreveport, LA 71119. Mr. Coma passed away on Friday morning, February 20, 2009 at his home in DeBerry after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Anthony S. Coma, III was born on December 10, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Anthony S. Coma, II and Dorothy Anna Iacanpo Coma. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. Although, his roots were from the East Coast, his profession in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry afforded him to work and to travel to many cities on the West Coast, and finally to make his home in DeBerry, Texas. He married Terri Sanfilippo on June 15, 2001 in Shreveport.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Coma of DeBerry; his children, Anthony S. Coma, IV of Chicago, Stephanie Luker of Oregon, Nicholas Patton of DeBerry, and Bryon Patton of Diana; his mother, Dorothy Coma Blair; and his sister, Missy Kefford.

His life was his love, Terri, his family, his friends, and his beloved pets. Whether East Coast, West Coast, or Texas, all those who touched Tony's life knew of his love of life, great food, great wine, great music, and his love of sports. Tony, we will miss you terribly until we see you again.
