Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Beverly Ross Hunt, 92 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Everett and Dr. Harry B. Hunt, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Hunt passed away on Sunday evening, May 13, 2007 in Carthage.
Annie Beverly Ross Hunt was born on May 9, 1915 in Panola County, Texas to Daniel Webster "Webb" Ross and Irene E. Shivers Ross. Mrs. Hunt graduated from Carthage High School. She married Harry Bass Hunt, Sr. in her home near Carthage on October 9, 1939 and together they celebrated over 52 years of marriage. She loved gardening, flowers, and her church. Mrs. Hunt had lived most of her life in Panola County and was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Bass Hunt Sr. on August 6, 1992; one son, Elvin Webster Hunt on July 16, 1964; and one brother, Elvin H. Ross on December 28, 1972.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her son Harry B. Hunt, Jr. and wife Pat of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Virginia Heisler and husband Vern of Hindsville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Patrick Douglas Hunt of Longview, Amy Carol Hunt Cunha and husband Russ of Forth Worth, and Bobby Earl Hunt and wife Pam of Hindsville, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister-in-law, Frances Ross of Carthage; special caregivers, Lee Gates, Rubie Walker, and Crystal Gates all of Carthage. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Hunt.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bobby Earl Hunt, Patrick Douglas Hunt, Dawson Glen Cunha, Howard Hunt, Bobby F. Hunt, Jimmy Hunt, Joe Hunt, and Wesley Green.
