Anna Kathryn Bennett was born on Sept. 13, 1942, in Beaumont, TX to the late Joe Emmett and Beulah Kathryn Long Johnson. Kaye passed away on May 14, 2020, in Beckville, TX at the age of 77. Kaye surrounded herself with the peaceful tranquility of nature. She cherished time with family and friends. She married Wayne Edgar Bennett in January of 2001, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2011.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Smiley, Lynanna Messer and husband Greg, Glenda Daniels and husband Wayne, and John English and wife Amy; brother, Joe E. Johnson and wife Vickie; grandchildren, Zachary Smiley, Joshua Smiley, Gregory Messer and wife Taylor, Ryan Messer, Logan Daniels, Jayce Daniels, Jordyn Daniels, Alex English, and Micah English; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Messer.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Harris Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Jeffrey Craft officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Zachary Smiley, Joshua Smiley, Gregory Messer, Ryan Messer, Micah English, and Aiden Messer.
