Anna Doris Hall

Anna Doris Hall, age 63, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026, in Carthage. She was born on February 22, 1963, in Carthage to the late Lovis C. and Lillian C. Brown Osborn.

Anna graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1981 and later attended Hurd's Beauty School in Marshall, Texas, where she earned her certificate in cosmetology. On May 11, 1995, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Lee Hall, at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

A lifelong resident of Carthage, Anna was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and church. She found great joy in cooking, watching sports, and caring for children. Whether they were family, friends, or members of her community, Anna never met a child she did not love and nurture. Her warm presence and caring nature touched countless lives throughout the years.

Anna was a faithful and devoted member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she served in numerous capacities. She dedicated many years to leading the church's youth ministry, singing in the choir, and serving as choir president. Her commitment to her faith and church family was evident in all that she did, and her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lovis “Papa” Hall and wife Savannah, Brittanie Hall, Jimmie Pickering and husband Walter, Jimmy Scott and wife Cynthia, Cornelius Hall and wife LaShandra, Eugene Hall, and Kristi Hall; her beloved grandchildren, Malicah Hall and Zayne Hall; her sister, Cathy Lister and husband Paul; her brother, Malcolm Osborn and wife Permedia; and her aunts, Ruth Brooks and Shirley Hill, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Bishop Hubert Owens officiating. The service is under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holland Quarters Cemetery.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
