Ann Nolen, 84, of the Gum Springs Community, Longview, TX passed away on Friday morning, Aug. 28, 2020. Laura Ann Davis was born on Nov. 26, 1935, in Alba, TX to the late Raymond Earl and Mona Mae Pope Davis. She married Earl Emil Nolen, Jr. in 1961, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2013. Mrs. Nolen enjoyed raising cattle, horses, and goats, crocheting and sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Mrs. Nolen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Gerald and Steve Carter; daughter, Sandra Holt; siblings, Gerald Davis and Rita Avery; and a grandson, Joshua Dean Nolen.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Nolen and wife Renee of the Antioch Community; brothers, Donald Davis of Lake Palestine and James Davis and wife Helen of Quitman; grandchildren, Chris Goodson, John Hamblen and wife Melissa, Raymond Hamblen and wife Tiffany, Robert Kimbrough, Mona Kimbrough, David Carter, Daniel Carter and wife Meghan, April Nolen, and Jake Nolen; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at Gum Springs Cemetery with Bro. James Peoples officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the cemetery prior to the graveside service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heart's Way Hospice and Kathryn Wells for the loving care shown to Mrs. Nolen.
