Ann Briggs Lawrence, 81, of Carthage, Texas passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Carthage. Verna Ann Briggs was born December 3, 1940 in Carthage, Texas to the late Verne David Briggs and Cory Christine Porter Briggs. Ann was raised in Carthage and attended Carthage schools and later obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She worked for many years as a secretary and most recently as an insurance broker. Ann loved reading British mysteries, painting and taking care of her dog. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Ann is survived by her son, Tim Lawrence; daughter, Cindy Lawrence; and granddaughter, Peyton Lawrence who affectionately knew her as Merzi.

A graveside service for Ann will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 29,2022 at the Harris Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Freddy Mason officiating. Services are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633
