Obituary

Andre Dwain Hall, 76, of Gary, Texas, was called away peacefully to be with the Lord after a long illness on Monday, March 16, 2015. Born in Emory, Texas, on March 21, 1938, to the late James Roszell Hall, Jr. and Golda Vo Anderson.

Called home before him was the great love of his life, his loving wife, Wanda Latham Hall. His sister, Mozelle Hall Kunkel and brother in-law, Dale Gosnell. Our hopes are that they are together now in eternal peace.

Andre was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, bird watching, fishing, and growing flowers. He especially enjoyed the company of his dog Lady, for she was a faithful loyal companion to him.

After graduating from Gary High School, Andre enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served before being called up to active duty in the Army. There he served almost another year before being given his discharge papers.

Making Houston their home after marriage, Andre began working as a field engineer. After retiring from Océ he returned to Gary to live on Lake Murvaul.

Andre was a loving father and was extremely proud of his children. His daughter, Tonya Aruffo and husband Cris of Houston; and his son, Shawn Hall and Pam Belrose of Center. He adored his grandchildren. They brought him great joy. Madeline Aruffo, Cadey Belrose, Jake Aruffo, and Bill Belrose. Andre leaves loving memories to be cherished by his siblings. Sister, Elna Gosnell of Royce City, Texas; brother, James Roszell Hall III and wife Molly of Port Allen, Louisiana, brother in-law, Pete Kunkel of Gary. As well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors that he was so blessed to have shared so many good times with.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home with the celebration of life to immediately follow at 1 pm with Pastor Brad Howard and Rev. Spencer Nordyke officiating. Mr. Hall will be laid to rest at the Mount Bethel Cemetery in Gary.

The Family would like to express sincere gratitude to Garrison Nursing Home, Nacogdoches Memorial, and Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, and all the friends that lifted up prayers during his illness. We thank each of you for the loving care and support.
